Would like to have status column for tasks like HOLD that could be filtered out of normal view.

Yes, for team communication having a status view would be extremely useful.

Agreed, a simple status column will help users communicate more effectively within the tool.

This. Would love for several statuses and the ability to filter. This gives stakeholders the ability to see progress and devs the ability to remove the noise of other tickets.
Possible status examples: "In Progress," "Pending," "On hold."
It would also be nice to add custom statuses. Some users might need more fidelity like "Pending PR Review" or "Pending QA."
