Robert - Currently, we support Chrome and Edge with our extension. We are struggling a bit with the Firefox extension because of its negative trend line of worldwide usage (https://www.laptopmag.com/news/firefox-lost-56-million-users-in-2-years-why-it-cant-keep-up-with-chrome-and-safari).
Can you help us better understand your desire for the extension on Firefox? Is it because you want to test under Firefox? Or is there another driver?
Later in Q2 we will be releasing enhancements to Snippet so you can access more of the features of the toolset in that context. That way any current browser can interact and contribute without the extension. We would love to better understand your needs to see if an enhanced Snippet would fill the void you see.
On a related front, the team is in the middle of a big push to support different task types (Feedback and Bug), state for tasks that are definable by the organization (e.g. defaults: New, Reviewed, Hold, Estimate, Dev UI, QA, etc.), ability to filter these new attributes at the project and organization level. New support to limit which users can be assigned to a project. And finally a refresh of the UI! This should be in production sometime in late February or early March.
We appreciate your followup and we would like to better understand your needs around Firefox.

Doug Kittelsen: I ask b/c Firefox is my preferred browser. I am a front end web developer working in post-secondary online learning. I've used a lot of browsers over the years to assist me in my line of work, and frankly I got tired of the huge amount of system resources used up by Chrome. I find FF faster, and I appreciate Mozilla's recent privacy-focused updates. I understand, however, that Chrome takes all the air out of the room and is a monster in the browser market. It makes sense that Chrome is where the focus stays.
Is this a roundabout way of saying that there will be no extension developed for Firefox?
Thanks for your response.

Robert Wakefield: There is no doubt that Chrome is a big consumer of resources. Right now FF support for a classic extension is on hold.
We are exploring enhancements to our Snippet component that would allow you to use your FF browser for things like pinning a component (in place today) as well as lassoing a region (new feature) - plus a number of features around how the tasks are captured and associated with users through Snippet. The idea is to allow you to do many of the tasks on a site without the extension. The key limitation is that Snippet needs to be installed on the site. Not sure if that would work for your workflow.
If you are up for it - I'd love the chance to have a short Google Meet to learn about your use cases. We are making a large number of improvements in the next couple months and always like to learn more about the needs of our users.

Tom Mulkins: Hi Tom. Can you offer a status update on these multiple extensions? Thanks!
